The International Civil Servants Mutual Associations, founded in 1958, is a non-profit fund exclusive to the United Nations at Geneva and Specialized Agencies, whose objectives are to promote mutual assistance among staff members of the United Nations Office and other Organizations within the United Nations family at Geneva, and the facilitation of the settlement of the said staff members and their family.

The affiliated Organizations are the following: ILO, ITU, WTO, WMO, WIPO, IMO, UNICEF (UNICEF staff members duty stationed in Geneva only), IOM, WHO, HCR, IPU and UNEP (UNEP staff members duty stationed in Geneva only).

ICSMA is comprised of two entities, La Mutuelle and the GPAFI (insurances)

  • COVID-19 :

We are pleased to inform you that from Tuesday 14 July 2020, La Mutuelle will welcome you back to its premises located at the Palais des Nations, Library Building, office B-214, on the following days for the time being:

  • - Every Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

We draw your attention to the fact that:

  • - Deposits of funds in cash are still not allowed;
  • - Withdrawal of CHF funds in cash must be requested at least 3 working days in advance;
  • - The access to the Palais des Nations is currently restricted to UNOG staff members due to current health measures.

Members who wish to obtain information on loans may opt for an appointment in order to have a dedicated time to discuss every aspect of their request.

Taking into account the current situation, the Board of Directors does not wish to convene an Ordinary General Assembly within six months from the closure of the accounts, as provided for in the Statutes. The 2020 General Assembly will be held later in the year, when the situation allows or, if necessary, will be grouped with that of 2021.

  • Other information:

The remuneration of the CHF deposit account for 2019 was an interest rate of 0.20% plus a bonus of 0.85%.

The interest rate on the USD account for the second quarter 2020 is 0.80%.
